If you are seeking a career in the legal sector, an Apprenticeship with CKE Attorneys is a great place to start. With offices in the heart of Manchester, Glossop and London we offer apprenticeships throughout England, both on the legal and management side of the legal sector.

  • What Apprenticeships do we offer?
    We cover the full spectrum of apprenticeships in the legal sector. These opportunities range from Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, Paralegal and Conveyancing/Probate Technicians on the legal side.
  • Which teams can I work in as an Apprentice?
    We provide opportunities in all of our teams and service areas, including management and HR.
  • What can you expect during your apprenticeship?
    During your apprenticeship CKE Attorneys will teach you the skills you need to work in a leading law firm and support you to gain recognised qualifications.

    We are looking for bright, ambitious students who have decided to pursue a vocational route that combines both employment and regular attendance at University. You will need a strong academic record and to be an enthusiastic, fresh thinking and hardworking individual.

Trainee Solicitor Programme

Here at CKE Attorneys we continually invest in our staff and spend a large amount of time training and developing our trainees. They are the future of our business and are seen as valued members of the team from day one.

 

During a two-year Training Contract at CKE Attorneys, you will complete four, six-month seats and be given the opportunity to gain valuable experience across a range of contentious and non- contentious legal work. Enabling you to gain a broad experience and get a feel for which area of law best fits your interests and abilities.

 

As you progress through your Training Contract, we will discuss with you which areas of work interest you the most and aim to place you with that team.

Work Placements

Our work experience placements are designed to give candidates practical experience in a thriving legal environment and also provide them with an insight into the day-to-day activities of a busy law firm.

CKE Attorneys are a leading Manchester law firm that offers a full range of legal services including Corporate & Commercial, Employment Law & HR, Dispute Resolution, Commercial & Residential Property, Family Law, and Wills, Trusts and Probate.

We offer work experience placements of up to 2 weeks in length throughout the year and in all of our departments. So, whether you are planning on becoming a solicitor or planning to work in Marketing, HR, IT or Finance, our work experience placements can provide you with the insight you need.

During your work experience placement, you will have the opportunity to shadow and observe colleagues. As well as be involved in current tasks and projects. For example, on the legal side, you might be researching the law behind a current case, learning how to draft responses to the other side on example cases or assisting and shadowing solicitors with their work.

A work experience placement is a great opportunity to take your first step in developing a career in law.
